Everything is ready in La Salle, in the “tall” part of the Aosta Valley, for the third edition of the Cisalpina Classic Race Powered by Allianz Investitori Sgr (July 3rd-5th). At race start there will be 40 art pieces of motor industry, between Classic cars and super-cars GT that feel dreem-like, all for the Italian race event that will take place thanks to Aci Sport: two stages, 380 km, 76 trials e 6 average speed segments.
July 2nd 2025 – Timers reset, tripmasters and averages ready measure distances and times. A 380 KM route through mountain roads, split into 2 legs, with 40 teams called to compete across 76 timed trials, 6 average-speed trials, and 8 control checkpoints. From the Aosta Valley town of La Salle, the third edition of Cisalpina Classic Race powered by Allianz Investitori Sgr is ready to start.
VALIDITY TRICOLORE ACI SPORT – The Race is listed on the 2025 ACI Sport national calendar and counts towards the italian Championship Grandi Eventi, bringing togheter Gran Turismo and SuperClassica ACI Sport for historic cars. A large group of participants has already signed up for this regularity event that starts and finishes in La Salle, near Courmayeur, and which features a 2 stage route designed to evoke the strongest driving sensations in the beautiful alpine roads of the Aosta Valley. The official schedule includes 2 stages of great beauty crossing alpine passes, hills and scenic routes full of trials to test consistency, precision and driving strategy, especially for the top drivers, where tenths of seconds make the difference. Cisalpina Classic Race powered by Allianz Investitori Sgr is the face of the organization structure arranged by Classic Paddock and the patronage of the Aosta City, La Salle and Etroubles.
ROUTE THROUGH 2 STAGES – After the teams are welcomed for technical checks and registration at the charming Relais Mont Blanc in La Salle, The adrenaline begins to build on the grid, set for 9 AM on Friday july 4th: the route through Morgex will pass through Colle San Carlo, La Thuile, Villeneuve and Aymavilles to reach the university of Aosta for a break. After the restart (scheduled at 11:20), the route continues with 7 trials in a raw on the way to Lozon and Orgères (lunch stop at 1:30 PM). The first segment includes 25 times trials, divided into 2 sections and interrupted midway with a break at the university in Aosta. The second stage starts from La Salle at 4 PM, includes 26 trials and runs through average speed segments, ending at sunset in the spectacular alpine setting of the high-altitude Gran San Bernardo Pass. The checkered flag is expected to wave around 15:30 for the arrival of the teams in the centre of La Salle.
PRESTIGIOUS HISTORIC CARS – Among historic cars, the prediction is wide open: the 2024 winners, Sergio Mazzoleni and Silvia Gotti from Bergamo in a Porsche 356 Speedster, and the 2023 champions, Maurizio Magnoni and Marisa Vanoni from Varese in a Porsche 356, will have to fend off attacks from high-level drivers such as Gianmario Fontanella from Piacenza, behind the wheel of the oldest car present: a Lancia Lambda Spider with Casaro bodywork dating back to 1927, with which the driver from Emilia has been a protagonist in several editions of the renowned Mille Miglia. Also aiming for the top of the leaderboard are Guido Barcella and Alberto Diana in two 1938 Fiat 508Cs, and Alessandro Virdis from Sardinia in a sporty 1950s Porsche 356. Among the most admired historic cars are the 1957 Lancia Aurelia B24, the 1949 Simca 8 Sport GP, the 1958 Giulietta Spider, the 1965 American Shelby Cobra 427, the 1991 Ferrari Testarossa, the 1977 Fiat 124 Spider, and the 1986 Mercedes 500 SL, along with three Porsches showcasing the evolution of the Stuttgart brand: the 911 Targa 2.7, the 991, and the 964.
SUPERCAR GT HEAD-TO-HEAD – The group of contenders vying for the precious points towards the national title is large and features a multi-brand array of dream modern Gran Turismo cars: from Ferrari to Porsche, BMW to MG, Alfa Romeo to Jaguar. The winner of the 2023 Cisalpina Classic Race, Giordano Mozzi from Mantova, competes with Marco Giusti in a Ferrari 296 GTS and will face off against last year’s champion, Celestino Sangiovanni from Bergamo, with Simone Rossoni in a Ferrari 812 GTS. Looking to join the battle between these two fierce rivals are Fabrizio Macario in a Ferrari 296 GTB, Graziano Mancinelli in a Ferrari 488 Pista, Fabio Vergamini in an MG TF, and Nicola Barcella in a Porsche 911 GT3. In the shadow of Mont Blanc, it will be thrilling to witness a rematch of the duel seen in the recent Mille Miglia: in the Ferrari GT competition, Mozzi prevailed over Vergamini and Mancinelli. The multi-brand showdown will also feature Federico Zerbetto in a Porsche Macan, Paolo Abbiati in an Alfa Romeo 4C,Massimo Medri in a Jaguar F Type, and Dante Cariboni in a Porsche 911 GTS. Out of competition, a special guest that will turn heads along the 380 km course through the Aosta Valley: the Ferrari F12 driven by Mario Arturo Arrigo and Carla Belotti, one of many teams from the Ferrari Club Italia. This is the last 12-cylinder berlinetta, powered by a 6,262 cc engine with direct injection at 200 bar, reaching performance levels never before achieved by a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder in terms of power and revs.
