Barcella-Rossoni in a Ferrari Roma and the Sangiovanni brothers in a Porsche 356A win the Cisalpina Classic Race Powered by Allianz Investitori SGR

Dual validity for the regularity race held this weekend between La Salle and Aosta: Starring the GTs of the Italian Modern Auto Grand Events Championship and the ACI Sport Super Classics produced up to 2000.

La Salle (AO) June 29, 2026 - The brothers Oreste and Celestino Sangiovanni from Brescia, driving a 1959 Porsche 356 A for Franciacorta Motori, won the Cisalpina Classic Race powered by Allianz Investitori SGR. The regularity race served as the second round of the Italian Modern Auto Grand Events Championship and the ACI Sport Super Classica for cars built up to 2000, taking place this weekend in Valle d’Aosta between La Salle, Aosta, and the fascinating territories of the Vallée. Among the GT cars of the Grand Events Championship, the young second-generation drivers Nicola Barcella and Simone Rossoni stood out in a striking 2021 Ferrari Roma.

“I express my gratitude,” said Roberto Crugnola, patron of Classic Paddock, organizers of the event, “to all our partners and crews who shared with us the experience of a competition that, beyond sporting values, promotes the beauty, culture of the territories, and togetherness. The Cisalpina Classic Race mobilized over 200 people who worked on event staging and safety, joining the sixty competitors for a total of nearly three hundred people who stayed in the region over these days, contributing to the local economy. The event will return for the 2027 edition.”

In the Super Classica Regularity, the success of the Lake Iseo brothers—who also won the Average Speed Trials classification—was built across 72 timed trials over 400 km of route, in constant contention with Sergio Mazzoleni and Silvia Gotti from Bergamo in a '59 Porsche 356 Speedster for Club Orobico. A margin of just 7.5 penalties separated them, while the podium was completed by Maurizio Magnoni and Marisa Vanoni from Varese in a 1971 Lancia Fulvia HF representing RIP (Registro Italiano Porsche 356), securing top spot in Category RC4. The Category podium was rounded out by Venetian journalists Dario Converso and Federica Ameglio in a '72 Innocenti Mini Cooper (6th overall) and Maurizio De Marco with Susanna Serri (7th overall) in an Autobianchi A112. “It was a truly fun and splendidly organized race with an impeccable timing service,” said Oreste Sangiovanni, “and above all, sport won. We fought for victory with Mazzoleni right to the end.”

Just off the podium were RIP President (the sporting organization that won the Team classification) Rocco Matteo Pastore with Paola Avanza in a Porsche 356 A, finishing ahead of Gionata and Mattia Costante from Lonate Pozzolo in a spectacular 1949 Simca 8 Sport—the oldest car in the field—taking victory in Category RC2. Notable was the retirement of Sardinian spouses Alessandro Virdis and Silvia Giordo, forced out during the second stage due to mechanical issues with their Porsche 356 A Speedster. Among the female crews, victory went to Vania Parolaro Fullin and Ornella Pietropaolo of Nettuno Bologna in their Porsche 911 - 993 4S, finishing 8th overall and taking top honors in Category RC6, ahead of father-and-son duo Massimo and Francesco Rota in a Ferrari 550 Maranello.

In the Category standings, victory in RC5 went to Piedmontese entrepreneur Gianluigi Siena from Domodossola alongside Kevin Mangini in a 1982 Porsche 911 Carrera, finishing ahead of Pietro Scott Iovane, CEO of main sponsor Allianz Investitori SGR, competing with his son Giacomo Scott in a 1989 Porsche Carrera. Completing the RC5 podium were passionate Ferraristi Aldo Castello and Maria Teresa Pascal in a 1988 Ferrari GTS Turbo. In the supercar section—the Gran Turismo entries of the CIGEAM Championship—Nicola Barcella and Simone Rossoni achieved their first overall victory in their Ferrari Roma, claiming a total of four wins including: the Average Speed Trials victory, the Under 30 Cup, and contributing to the team victory for Franciacorta Motori. Joining them on the podium were Gian Antonio Gasparini from Schio with the young Giovanni Fabris in a stunning Ferrari 296 GTS, and Francesco Paolo Romano with Sabrina Caruso in a BMW Z4 Convertible.

Celebrating the competition's crews, the 24-member Courmayeur La Salle musical band performed in front of the starting arch set up in La Salle in the presence of Mayor Cassiano Pascal during the start of the second stage. The finish line was set up for the first time in Aosta, adjacent to the Arch of Augustus, where beautiful KIA vehicles provided by KIA Nuova Autoalpina drew curiosity from numerous tourists and enthusiasts attending the finish. Event headquarters were hosted at the splendid Relais Mont Blanc in La Salle, housing the secretariat, race direction, and prestigious hospitality for competitors.

The race was held in complete safety for spectators and competitors alike thanks to a massive deployment of marshals coordinated by experienced Clerk of the Course Vittorio Galvani, alongside the professionalism of Milano Classiche and ACI Global Servizi.
